Thorntons Recycling's Confidential Shredding service means that you can now leave your Confidential Shredding requirements in the same reliable hands that take care of all your waste management needs.
If you have documents that are sensitive and require shredding please contact us for an assessment of your requirements. We are able to shred your Confidential papers/material both on-site (Mobile shredding trucks) and off-site (Secure Shredding Facility).
Our shredding equipment ensures that once shredded your original documents are illegible. Once the material is shredded it is then sent to paper mills for processing and new paper is created - ensuring that your original documents are fully destroyed.
Services Offered
Thorntons now offers the following services:
a. On-site Shredding Service - Thorntons will shred your material on-site using its mobile shredding truck. A cost-effective regular scheduled service is available (eg. Weekly, Bi-weekly, monthly) as well as servicing your call-in Shredding requirements.
b. Secure Shredding Facility - Thorntons will remove your material to its Secure Confidential Shredding facility at Park West, Dublin 12 and shred your material there. The facility is fully locked down and monitored on a 24 hour basis. There are a number of CCTV cameras fitted to ensure that all movements in and out and within the process are recorded. Keypads are also used on site to ensure that access is only granted to authorised personnel.

Secure Shredding means
- Trust and Confidence - A Certificate of Destruction is completed for all completed shredding consignments.
- All Confidential Material can be handled on site or taken to our Secure Facility
- Rapid processing of 2.5 tonnes per hour including papers, tapes and disks, and other sensitive material (on-site vehicle)
- Supply of Secure Locked Cabinets for in house requirements
- All confidential material will be handled in compliance with the Data Protection Act and the Waste Management Act
- Customer enjoy peace of mind with a full audit trail and documented proof of destruction for all material
